The age of Energia

Energia Productions is a production company located in Tampere, Finland. It was founded in 2005, when our first feature film Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning was released. Our company is young and agile, but the team itself has worked together for a decade conquering the almost impossible challenges of making a feature length film on a shoestring budget.

Energia is a strong, innovative group, defined not by what we can do, but our ability to learn and always out-do ourselves.

We produce films as well as 3D animation, commercials, music videos and advertising material for clients. We're also often seen as speakers at conferences, schools and festivals, talking about filmmaking, collaborative productions, internet and copyright issues.

3D Animation

Our speciality is photo realistic 3D animation with over a decade of experience. We can offer You a full-range of 3D services, from simple 3D modeling to animation and special effects.

Pre-production vizualization A job well planned is half done. We can create all pre-production visualization from concept art to animatronics.

3D modeling If you need modeling or texturing done we can do it. Our artists use Lightwave, Maya and 3ds Max so our services can easily be integrated to your workflow.

3D animation From logo animations to architectual visualization and character animation we can do it all.

Special effects We have been creating ealaborate visual effects on a tight budget for over a decade. We can create Hollywood-level effects on a tight budget and a fast schedule. Computer generated effects are not limited to creating spaceships and explosions (even though they are a breeze) but can help You create visuals not otherwise possible or practical to do.

We offer a full range of services including composition, set extention, wire removal, color grading and 3D character animation. With CGI there is no limit what can be done, from fixing imperfections in live-action video to creating alien landscapes.

Rendering We have a dedicated render farm, so the computer intensive job of rendering the final video can be done in-house, in time and with no extra expenses.

Movie production

Star Wreck The feature length film "Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning" was a huge success story with 5 million downloads in just a few months! The DVD rights have been sold to six countries. Read more.
